What is DS1140?
New demands
DS1140 (Danish Standard 1140) increases demands for quality assurance and documentation regarding load-bearing constructions.
Until recently, the construction company made the quality assurance (egenkontrol) while the project-managing company audited. That is now changed.
Now the company carrying out the construction work itself is responsible for planning and carrying out a general control and documenting to the project manager and contractor.
Construction classes
DS1140 divides constructions into four construction classes: KK1, KK2, KK3, and KK4.
KK1 can i.e. be a one-family house and KK4 a high-rise with very large consequences in the event of a collapse.
Depending on the construction class there are specific demands to the quality assurance. TJAEK can handle all four construction classes.
Independent audit
On top of “egenkontrol” (quality assurance) there are, in many cases, demands of independent or third-party audits. These demands follow the construction classes.
Control plans
We make sure you are ready to make and organise control plans in TJAEK. TJAEK has a user friendly interface and gives a good overview on how far you are in the process.
If you prefer that we make and organise the control plans we are happy to do that – often in close cooporation with one or several employees of the company.
